Speaker Luncheon XXIII - Improving the Public Enjoyment and Participation in Boating

This luncheon brought participants a new study undertaken by a student team from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in the U.S.  The study was co-sponsored by the HBF and the Designing Hong Kong.  The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of affordable public access boat facilities in Hong Kong.  This includes possible cost and management models, and desirable location features for a public boat club.  This is important because everyone should have an equal opportunity to enjoy the pleasures of being out on the water and public boat facilities will help open up the waters of Hong Kong to all residents.
